A winning combination of fashion, famous faces, Fidos and philanthropy, ‘Patterns for Paws meets the Pup-A-Razzi’ will help The Amanda Foundation design a better life for homeless pets.
Taking place at the Pacific Design Center, the second annual event will feature trend-setting Spots sporting canine couture on the catwalk, a silent auction, wine and assorted snacks, all to help the continued efforts of The Amanda Foundation, which–since its founding in 1976– has found forever homes for thousands of orphaned animals who were facing a sad fate in L.A. area animal shelters.
Hosted by Weeds star Kevin Nealon, the stylish soiree will include a salute to Pauley Perrette, a star who enjoys her role as a pet rescuer as much as her role on the hit CBS series NCIS. The Amanda Foundation holds a special place in the star’s heart, as she has worked at the organization as a volunteer, befriended countless canines and cats as a foster and has adopted two tail-wagging chums from the non-profit.
If the past is any indication, tickets will go fast for the fashion-forward fete. The 2010 event was a sold-out, star-studded soiree featuring an array of animal-loving luminaries, including The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco, comedian Bill Maher, Glee star Jenna Ushkovitz, True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer and The Dog Whisperer himself, Cesar Milan.
Tickets: $50
When: August 24, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: 5th floor atrium of The Pacific Design Center at 8687 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California
