Using horsepower to make a powerful statement for homeless pets, a New York rescue invites dog devotees to get their motors running and head out on the highway for Yonkers to participate in the first annual Four Paws Sake Motorcycle Run.
Celebrity Spotting
Reality personalities from the docudrama Jerseylicious will help to create a better reality for orphan Fidos by their appearance at the paws cause. Carla, Frank, Michael and Frank Sr. are scheduled to rally for the paws cause.
Activities
Chopper enthusiasts may be “Born to be Wild,” but pets need a sense of stability. To help the dogs of Four Paws Sake Rescue as they travel the road to finding forever homes, animal lovers will rev up at Walgreen’s parking lot in Yonkers for a ride which ends as Crossbay Honda at Howard Beach.
Along with the ride for paws, attendees can win prizes, get their canine or cat companion microchipped at a low cost, find a new furry friend among the adorable adoptables in attendance, and much more.
Admission for the ride: $25 for one rider (includes wristband or bandanna) and $35 for a rider and passenger (includes two wristbands or two bandannas)
When: October 16, 2011 from noon- 4 p.m. (registration starts at 9 a.m.)
Where: Riders meet at Walgreen’s parking lot at 1046 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, New York
