Stars to the Rescue, St. Louis, MO, Jan. 14, 2012

News that chart-toppers have teamed up to raise funds for orphan Fidos and felines is music to the ears of animal lovers who are purchasing tickets for the 7th annual Stars to the Rescue in St. Louis, Missouri, which– like the 21st annual Stars to the Rescue scheduled for January 7th in Walnut Creek, California— will benefit Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.

Fans of Fidos are singing the praises of platinum-selling country crooner Luke Bryan (who is the proud pet parent of an English Cocker Spaniel named Maggie), Timothy B. Schmit of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group The Eagles, Tom Johnston of The Doobie Brothers, Broadway star Christopher Jackson (In the Heights, The Lion King) and John McDaniel (former band leader on The Rosie O’Donnell Show), who are scheduled to take the stage for the sake of shelter pets in the St. Louis area.

Proceeds from the presentation, which will include a silent auction, will provide support for ARF’s programs well well as those of the following rescue organizations:

Act Now Rescue
Animal Protective Association of Missouri
Animal Rescue & Relief Foundation
Bond County Humane Society
Clowder Foundation
Eureka large Animal Search & Rescue
Franklin County Humane Society
Gateway Pet Guardians
Happy Hearts
Humane Society of Monroe County
