It’s a sure bet that animal lovers will enjoy a day devoted to our furry, feathered and finned friends at the first annual Vegas Pet Expo.
Celebrity Spotting
- Continuing his crusade to end Breed Specific Legislation, Animal Planet star Shorty Rossi (with his canine companion, Hercules!) will be on hand to talk with fans.
- An animal behaviorist for more than two decades, celebrity pet expert Harrison Forbes will offer advice in a Q&A session.
Activities
- Cheer for the athletic lap dogs who will move their feet toward the finish line at the Doxie Derby, with proceeds benefiting the Las Vegas Hot-Diggity Dachshund lLub and Rescue.
- Stylish Spots will command the catwalk at the Pet Costume Contest.
- Talented tail-waggers will perform in an agility demonstration that will include maneuvering through weave poles, negotiating a teeter and springing over agility jumps.
- Spots can show off their skills at the Animals Got Talent! competition.
- Pet parents can mull over merchandise, find out about canine and cat care services and discover various rescue groups as they stroll among more than 120 exhibitor booths.
