Bark in the Park, Cincinnati, OH, April 24, 2012

Baseball buffs are invited to take their barking buddies out to the ballgame as the Cincinnati Reds take on the San Francisco Giants during Bark in the Park 2012.

Played for a paws cause, a portion of tickets sales for the April 24, 2012 game will benefit SPCA Cincinnati, and as fans cheer for a home run a lineup of adorable adoptables from the animal welfare organization will be hoping to score a forever home in the Dog Zone.

Pup parents can promenade with their four-pawed pal in a pre-game pet parade on the track surrounding the field at the Great American Ball Park, pose with their pooch in front of a special Reds backdrop (after making a donation to SPCA Cincinnati), check out product samples in the Dog Zone and sign up their Spot to participate in best dog trick, best dressed dog and largest and smallest dog contests before cheering on their favorite team in a special seating area.

Dog guardians must sign a waiver stating that the tail-wagger in attendance has all required vaccinations. All dogs must be leashed (no retractable leashes) and licensed.

If you miss out on the April Bark in the Park event, you won’t be in the dog house with your canine companion. The Cincinnati Reds will hold a second Bark in the Park on September 10, 2012.

Tickets: A Dog Package, consisting of one person and one dog ticket: $30 each ($28 if both games purchased before 4/24 game sells out). Additional human tickets: $20 each.
