Bark in the Park, Ridgefield Park, NJ, July 14, 2012

He may be a political animal, but on July 14th nationally syndicated broadcaster Mark Levin will step away from talk of ‘donkeys’ and ‘elephants’ and focus on Fidos as the host of the second annual Bark in the Park.

A dog devotee who penned Rescuing Sprite: A Dog Lover’s Story of Joy and Anguish, a touching tale about his late shelter pet, Levin will be joined at the day of play with a purpose by news commentator Geraldo Rivera and WABC radio personality Mark Simone.

The event will include canine contests, toe-tapping and tail-wagging music, demonstrations, pet exhibits, giveaways, and adorable adoptables from North Shore Animal League America and Bergen County Animal Shelter.
