Pawject Runway, Canton, MD, September 6, 2012

Couture-clad canines and kitties will command the catwalk during an event that seamlessly weaves fashion with philanthropy.

Paying homage to Heidi Klum’s trend-setting series, Pawject Runway will “make it work” for the orphan animals at BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter) with help from stylish celebrity supporters John Rallo, the mixed martial artist star of Shogun Fights who posed with his purring pal for the Baltimore Mayor’s Anti-Animal Abuse Advisory Commission’s Show Your Soft Side campaign; Golden Gloves boxer Chris Nissley, whose Show Your Soft Side campaign poster with his dog Kobe was also a big hit; Sarah Fleischer of 98 Rock; 92Q’s Lil Black and many more animal-loving luminaries.

Presented by Professionals for Paws, the Soft Side Campaign, Doggy Style and 98 Rock, the evening will include not only adorable adoptables promenading in apparel for a paws cause, but also signature cocktails, a live band and raffle prizes, all to raise funds for BARCS Franky Fund, which helps to provide medical care for sick and injured animals.

Tickets: $20

When: September 6, 2012 from 6:30p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Where: Bay Cafe at 2809 Boston Street in Canton, Maryland
