On October 13th dog devotees will raise their glasses in a toast to our tail-wagging chums as author Teresa Rhyne reads passages from The Dog Lived (And So Will I), the true tale of one woman’s fight against breast cancer and her doggedly devoted beagle Seamus, whose own ultimate triumph over the disease helped his human Mom win her battle.

While sampling dog-inspired wines from Cru Vin Dogs Wine Group, attendees of Words, Wine and Wags will have the chance to meet the author, who will sign copies of the just-released memoir, as well as the writer’s four-legged muse, Seamus.

A gathering for a good cause, the event will benefit Barks of Love, an all breed, 100% no-kill non-profit in Southern California.

Tickets: $40 per person

When: October 13, 2012 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Where: Dogma Pet Portrait Studio at 1729 Superior Avenue in Costa Mesa, California
