Football-loving fans of Fidos are invited to put on the dog for a swank soiree which will include celebrity sightings, a refined repast and a Vegas-style casino where players can put on their poker faces for the sake of English Bulldogs who have been dealt a bad hand by life.
Scoring a touchdown in the hearts of dog devotees, the following former football players are scheduled to show their support for the paws cause– Jon Stinchcomb (New Orleans Saints); Tom Lyons (Denver Broncos); David Greene (Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts); Greg Talley; Scott Woerner (Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints); Kevin Butler (Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals); Jon Lastinger and Frank Ros, who will join special guest Loran Smith and three Rovers who will act as representatives of their barking brothers in need– Boo and General, The Citadel Bulldog mascots and Bully XX, the mascot of Mississippi State. Serving as co-chair for this year’s Bully Ball is William P. Fralic, Jr., formerly of the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions.
Attendees can dine on Filet Mignon or opt for vegetarian fare.
It’s a sure bet that guests will enjoy playing blackjack, roulette, craps and other casino games.
Pals of those with paws can place bids on such items as an Oakmont Country Club trip with former Atlanta Falcon Bill Fralic; destination vacations to South Africa, Barbados, Antigua or St. Lucia; luxury dog items and much more.
