Bark in the Park, Flushing, NY, April 20, 2013

Baseball buffs and their barking buddies can cheer on the New York Mets as they step up to the plate to help a paws cause.

On April 20th pups can promenade in a Dog Parade, then sit with their pet parents in designated Pepsi Porch seats to watch the Mets take on the Washington Nationals during Bark in the Park— a game where the real winners are the adorable adoptables at the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, North Shore Animal League America.

As a bonus for punctual pooches, the first 500 dogs in attendance will receive a Mets dog bandana.

Can’t make it to the game in April? You won’t be in the doghouse, as the Mets will go to bat for the sake of homeless animals again on September 14th.

Tickets: Human tickets in the Pepsi Porch area– $35; Dog Tickets for the Pepsi Porch area– $10 (All of the profit from the dog tickets and a portion of each human ticket will benefit North Shore Animal League America.)
