Borghese
He searched for his soul mate on season nine of the ABC series The Bachelor, but today a prince who comes from Italian nobility has captured the collective hearts animal lovers by taking on the noble task of helping dogs in need find forever pet parents to love.

The co-founder of Animal Aid USA and president of the Royal Treatment line of pet products has had a busy year:

  • Prince Lorenzo Borghese hosted a fundraiser for his non-profit organization; helped to transport dogs from high-kill shelters to safety in an Animal Aid USA van during one of the largest singe-day air and land rescues in the Southeast.
  • He was honored as Humanitarian of the Year at the 2014 Pet Hero Awards and applauded for his efforts at the annual Bideawee Ball.
  • He ended the year by showcasing adorable adoptables on a recent episode of The Meredith Vieira Show.

While two of the lucky pups who stepped on to the set have already found families with members of the show’s staff, the following canines are still hoping that their moment of TV stardom will lead to a starring role in a forever home.

From puppiesandmorerescue.org, Oliver is a 9-week-old Walker Hound mix. The passel of cuddly 6-week-old Hound puppies are from the same rescue organization, while Letty, a 2-year-old Boxer, can be found at delcospca.org.
