Share with fellow dog lovers!

Actress Amy Poehler, who won a Golden Globe Award for her role in the sitcom Parks and Recreation, has won the admiration of dog lovers for playing a vital role in the promotion of pet adoption thanks to her website, Smart Girls.

In a just unleashed video the former Saturday Night Live star lends her voice to Tahini, a four-legged foodie who serves up a heaping helping of humor along with some food for thought. (NOTE: Tahini has just found her forever home!)

The video is the latest cute clip for the paws cause in the pet adoption web series Heavy Petting, which also features the voices Poehler’s former co-stars Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman and Aziz Ansari. Other famous friends of Fidos who have taken part in the adorable dating app-inspired videos include former Saturday Night Live writer John Mulaney and The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz.

The Heavy Petting web series was created through a partnership between Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls website, the ASPCA and animal shelters form coast to coast in an effort to shine a spotlight on companion animals who dream of being cast in the role of a special someone’s furry family member. Along with promoting the option of pet adoption, the series also highlights the benefits of fostering and volunteering.
