We’re an ASPCA Business Ambassador!

We are very proud to announce that our PawZaar store is now an ASPCA Business Ambassador! PawZaar is proud to support the ASPCA® and its mission to save lives.

As you know, PawZaar helps support the care of shelter dogs and cats–but we wanted to do something more. In addition to our shelter pet sponsorships, we also wanted to help support a national organization that had the resources–and the experience–to assist shelters in natural disasters.

Although hurricane season is still months away, I know that last year’s historic season is still on the minds of many of us. Last August when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, we spent three nights with all our pets at a hotel (thank you for being so very pet-friendly, La Quinta!) Although our area was spared, so many were not. Our own family grew the following week when we adopted hurricane evacuee Jetty, who, along with all the homeless animals (not lost owned pets) already in the care of her coastal shelter were sent to other Texas shelters for adoption:

ASPCA also conducted many shelter evacuations across Texas–then, as hurricanes Irma and Maria came ashore–in Florida and beyond. They even took dogs, already homeless before the storm, back to their New York adoption center:

We’re proud that our PawZaar community is able to help support the ASPCA® and its mission to save lives so that, regardless of what Mother Nature may throw at us, help is available for ALL impacted by the storms–both two- and four-legged!

The ASPCA's disaster response team is on the ground with search-and-rescue, sheltering and relocation teams ready to assist displaced animals affected by #HurricaneHarvey. You can help us make the most of all of our life-saving efforts by donating today at ASPCA.org/Harvey.
