Currently starring as everyone’s favorite matchmaker in the Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!, Bernadette Peters will once again help efforts to match adoptable dogs and cats with forever pet parents when she steps into her real life role as the co-founder of the annual pet adoption event Broadway Barks!
Celebrating two decades of dogged devotion to the option of pet adoption, Broadway Barks 20 will take place on July 14, 2018. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, this year the event will feature the debut of homeless companion animals who have been waiting in the wings at 28 participating New York City area shelters. Some of the adorable adoptables will even get to lap up the limelight as they enjoy a moment of fame on stage with Broadway’s brightest, who are happy to be cast in supporting roles as they present dogs and cats to an appreciative crowd.
Who is the Co-Host of Broadway Barks 20?
Starring alongside Bernadette Peters in Hello, Dolly!, Victor Garber (Alias, Titanic, Godspell) will act as co-host of the event. The actor is the latest to take on the “role”, which has previously performed by Malcolm McDowell, Harvey Fierstein, Gloria Estefan, James Franco and Andrew Rannells.

Which animal-loving luminaries will help the curtain rise on a better tomorrow for homeless dogs and cats at this year’s event?
