Product: John Paul Pet Awapoochi Shampoo and Conditioning Rinse
Manufacturer: John Paul Pet LLC, Las Vegas, NV
John Paul Pet, founded by John Paul DeJoria of Paul Mitchell Systems, has introduced a new line of premium shampoos and conditioners for dogs. The Awapoochi line, modeled after Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi product line for humans, is based on formulas derived from Hawaiian Awapuhi (wild ginger) extract, a plant thought to have medicinal properties.
Awapoochi Shampoo with Shine Memory is a botanical blend of Awapuhi extract, sweet almond oil, aloe vera gel and chamomile which gently cleanses a dog’s coat, leaving it clean and shiny. The company says that the initial shine can be reactivated for several days after the dog is bathed simply by brushing the coat. The shampoo is Paraben and EDTA-free.
Awapoochi Conditioning Rinse with Shine Memory is based on the same principle; subsequent brushings can extend the conditioner’s effectiveness. The conditioner is formulated with botanical extracts designed to nourish and restore dull, lifeless coats. The conditioner contains no Paraben or EDTA and the Hawaiian Awapuhi extract ensures a shiny, luxurious coat.
All John Paul Pet products are pH balanced and are “tested on humans first,” a philosophy which has been in place at Paul Mitchell Systems for three decades when co-founder John Paul DeJoria banned animal testing for the company’s hair products. John Paul Pet supports several animal welfare organizations such as The Morris Animal Foundation, The Humane Society of the United States, the Best Friends Animal Society and other pet rescues and pet charities. In addition to the new Awapoochi shampoo and conditioner for dogs, the John Paul Pet product line also includes pet sprays and pet wipes formulated with safe, natural ingredients as well as a similar line for cats and kittens.
