The quiet community of Blanco, located between San Antonio and Johnson City, is best known in the canine world as the home of Blanco State Park, a longtime camping and hiking spot on the Blanco River.
Run, Spot, Run!
Blanco State Park. Our water-loving Lab mix gives this park, as pretty as it is, a paws down because, unlike at most state parks, dogs aren’t permitted in the river here. If you don’t have a water-lover, though, you’ll find plenty of other divisions in this park including trails, a picnic area, and campground. The 104-acre park is conveniently located just off US 281.
