187*365: Changing Camera Angles

Share with fellow dog lovers!

Today I needed to take some photos to announce National Craft for Your Local Shelters Day on July 21, 2012. I printed out a small sign and wanted to pose one of the dogs with the sign. As usual, Tiki volunteered.

First, I tried posing Tiki on the couch with the sign…but Tiki wanted to get just a little too close to the sign. Before she tore it to shreds, I decided we’d better relocate to the floor with it. This first shot was taken from overhead, above Tiki:

That was a little boring, though, so I decided to get down to Tiki’s level…

I liked that angle better but decided a more extreme angle would be more interesting so I shot this with the camera on the floor…

Voila! I liked that angle best, even though it’s just slightly different from the last photo.

If your dog photo isn’t coming out just like you’d like, try changing the angle of your shot. It’s easy enough…and you can just delete the ones you don’t like!
