Pawject Runway Celebrities Show Their Soft Side

Wearing their hearts on their sleeves, top dogs in the world of sports will soon team together for a fashion show that proves that compassion never goes out of style.

Celebrating its fifth year, trend-setting tail-waggers in tutus and couture-conscious kitties will be escorted down the catwalk during Pawject Runway by a line up of the following celebrity “Softies.” These public figures have used their star wattage to shine a spotlight on the need to protect companion animals by appearing in Show Your Soft Side campaign PSAs:

  • John Allen of the Charm City Devils
  • Rasheed Bailey of the Philadelphia Eagles
  • Dave Danieki, MMA fighter
  • Vini Dantas of the Baltimore Blast
  • Carl Davis of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Tony Donatelli of the Baltimore Blast
  • Lawrence Guy of the New England Patriots
  • Michael Harris, Best Sports Consultants founder and CEO
  • Willie Henry of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Chris Hughes, 2016 IPL Raw World Powerlifting Champion
  • Qadry Ismail of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Ryan Jensen of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Alex Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Albert McClellan of the Baltimore Ravens
  • Chris Moore of the Baltimore Ravens

The schedule of stars who will strut with Spots also includes:

  • John Minadakis, Captain of Team Famous (Jimmy’s Famous Seafood)

  • Justin Schlegel, comedian/98 Morning Rock co-host
  • Hannah Shaw (The Kitten Lady)
  • Dan Tillery, singer/songwriter
  • Matthew White, former Army Sergeant 82nd Airborne

Along with all of the catwalk cuteness, ticket holders will also get the chance to strike a pose with some supermodel pups at a Selfie Station and give one of the four-legged stars of the event a squeeze at the Cuddling Corner. Attendees will also nom on tasty treats, sip cocktails and place bids on one-of-a-kind experiences and sports memorabilia during an auction for the paws cause.

All of the proceeds from Pawject Runway will go toward the ongoing efforts of Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), which helps more than 11,000 of Baltimore’s homeless companion animals each year. Over the past four years, Pawject Runway has raised more than $400,000 to help the ongoing effort to aid dogs and cats in need of medical care at BARCS.

Tickets: Admission prices range from $25 for a child’s all-inclusive ticket or a show-only ticket to $75 for an adult all-inclusive ticket.

Pre-Runway Event

Fans of sports and Spots can get ready for the runway party at a pre-event happening with a lot of heart. On April 22nd from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. visitors to the Hunt Valley Mall can pose for photos with “Softies” Gerrard Sheppard, John Rallo, Tony Donatelli and William Venzela, get some great freebies, and help our pals with paws in the process! Attendees are asked to help Fill the Fiat at the mall with much needed items for BARCS, such as blankets or comforters, Kongs, smooth peanut butter, scratch boxes for cats, and more.
