Baseball Star Jimmy Rollins Opens Animal Rehabilitation Clinic

On April 20th baseball star Jimmy Rollins cut the ribbon to officially open a state-of-the-art facility that’s ready to step up to the plate to help pets in distress.

Wanting companion animals to receive the same cutting-edge therapies often used by humans, proud pet parents Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies and his wife Johari joined with the Saint Francis Veterinary Center (the hospital which has provided medical care to his own dogs for years) to create The Rollins Center for Animal Rehabilitation.

The Rollins Center will assist patients with post-surgical recovery; prevention of further injury; recovery and healing of muscle strains, ligament ruptures, joint sprains and bone fractures; assuaging of patient anxiety or stress; reduction of muscle tightness or spasm; management of chronic conditions including arthritis and degenerative disease; promotion of flexibility and range of motion; weight management; and other beneficial therapies.

“Johari and I are personally excited to partner with Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey,” commented Jimmy Rollins. “We have trusted their doctors with the health of our dogs for some time, and it is a special feeling to know that with the opening of The Rollins Center, we’ll play a role in enhancing the lives of animals in need while setting the standard for animal physical welfare across the country.”

In celebration of the new clinic, the public and their pups were invited to a day of play which included a pet costume competition, a pet photo booth, live music, the chance to get an autograph from the all-star shortstop, and adorable adoptables from the Pennsylvania PSPCA.
