Boston is often referred to as The Cradle of Liberty, and thanks to the small band of Bostonion dog devotees at KickAss K-9 Rescue some of the city’s canines have been liberated from the fear that comes with homelessness. Television viewers will soon have the chance to see the rescue organization’s efforts in action as TLC unleashes Boston Underdogs, a hour-long special which shines a spotlight on the determination of rescuer Stacia Gorgone and her friends to create a better tomorrow for animals in need.
Over the course of the special viewers will follow Stacia– who opened KickAss K-9 Rescue in honor of her late canine companion– as she encounters the highs and lows of animal rescue, from the financial drain which comes from the inability to turn her back on any canine in need of care to the emotional toll it takes on relationships.
Boston Underdogs premieres on August 12th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
