How Can You Help Your Blind Dog Maneuver Your Home through Scent?

Share with fellow dog lovers!

We know that you’re all very familiar with Innovet Pet thanks to our recent reviews and giveaways. But did you know that Innovet started their company over a decade ago with the launch of their Tracerz Scent Markers for Blind Dogs?

Tracerz Scent Markers literally help you mark furniture and obstacles in your home so your blind dog can more easily maneuver through your home. The scent pads contain an essential oil mixture distinct from household cleansers to avoid confusion; the scent (which you’ll only be able to smell up close but your dog can smell from a distance) lasts up to a year.

Innovet’s founder Matt Terrill explains, “The inspiration for our health products has often come out of a necessity to help our own pets. I created Tracerz scent markers because there was nothing on the market that could help my dog — who lost his sight at age 8 —  navigate around.”

Kansas City Event to Help Blind Dogs

This Saturday, About Innovet Pet Innovet Pet is joining Bar K dog bar in raising awareness and money for research on canine blindness at the event Benefit for Bear and Blind Dogs Everywhere.

Innovet’s team of experts will help owners of blind pets by sharing their personal stories and educating others on what’s available for their dog’s disability and how to best support them. They will be revealing and handing out their new and improved version of Tracerz. The original Tracerz have remained untouched for over a decade, and Innovet is excited to show how they’ve used those years to update their first product.

With a conservative estimate of over 300,000 dogs in the U.S. diagnosed with blindness, Innovet Pet and Bar K are excited to continue helping pets in need with the event and shine light on this hidden issue.

Benefit for Bear and Blind Dogs Everywhere takes place Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 at Bar K Bar, 501 Berkley Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri.
