Ian Somerhalder Foundation Launches Emergency Medical Care Grant for Animals

IanA heartthrob with a heart of gold, actor Ian Somerhalder is not only celebrating the sixth season renewal of his hit series The Vampire Diaries, but also the chance to offer a new lease on life to animals in need through the recent launch of The Ian Somerhalder Foundation’s first grant program.

The ISF Emergency Medical Care Grant for Animals will provide financial assistance (up to a maximum of $2,500 per grant application) to animal welfare organizations, agencies, and select individual rescuers in the United States and Canada to cover the urgent medical needs of animals who have been injured, neglected or abused.

    I smiled at that dog looking at Ian with the expression “What is he talking about?” even though he’s sleepy.

    Anyway I’m glad that Ian have a heart to invest in building a foundation that will give medicine and care to animals which are abused, abandoned and neglected. Hats off to you sir!
