Putting a song in the hearts of their doggedly devoted fans, indie rockers American Authors promotes the option of pet adoption in the new video for their toe-tapping– and tail-wagging– tune, “Best Day of My Life.”
Lapping up the limelight in the music video, Meaty– who was once a resident Rover at Georgia English Bulldog Rescue— will tickle your funny bone and tug at your heartstrings in his acting debut as he visits a dog park, goes on a car ride and watches his new forever pet parent sign his adoption papers.
In celebration of the video, the mail-order dog treat service BarkBox–which donates 10 percent of proceeds to animal shelters, rescues and animal welfare organizations– will give every Bulldog who gets rescued in September and October three free months of BarkBox, as well as a free year of BarkCare, their 24/7 vet service.
