When Kibble Meets Raw: Wellness CORE RawRev

Share with fellow dog lovers!

This post is sponsored by Wellness. All statements and opinions are entirely our own. As always, we only share products that our own pets enjoy!

We know that you’re very familiar with Wellness dog foods, ones that Irie and Tiki have long enjoyed, but today we want to introduce you to a special line in the Wellness family that we think your dogs will enjoy as much as ours.

Wellness CORE is a line of natural, protein-focused recipes, and, within that line, Wellness® CORE® RawRev™ combines high-protein, grain-free kibble with freeze-dried raw meat, allowing you to add raw easily and safely to every meal.

Irie and Tiki recently had the chance to try out Wellness® CORE® RawRev™ in Turkey variety (made with deboned turkey, turkey meal, and chicken meal, along with freeze-dried turkey). The food also comes in Wild Game with Raw Lamb and, for small dogs, Turkey for Small Breeds.

As you can see, it’s easy to spot the freeze-dried bits of 100% meat among the kibble:

I love Wellness® CORE® RawRev™ for a variety of reasons including the fact that it:

  • is made in the USA
  • contains no fillers
  • contains no grains
  • contains no meat by-products
  • contains no wheat gluten and no wheat
  • contains no corn, soy or eggs
  • contains no artificial preservatives, colors or flavors
  • features spinach, broccoli, carrots, parsley, apples, blueberries, kale and more

But, so much for my opinion…what did Irie and Tiki think of the new food?

They loved it! Both girls went wild for the food, finishing every last bit.

I also love that the freeze-dried bits are available as treats! Wellness® CORE® 100% Freeze-Dried Treats for dogs each feature just one simple ingredient: boar, beef, salmon or turkey:

The treats–perfect as a meal topper or a training treat (I’ll be adding them to our dog walking bag!)–each have only 2 calories:

Irie and Tiki both give Wellness CORE RawRev and Wellness® CORE® 100% Freeze-Dried Treats a big paws up!
