Tennis Star Novak Djokovic Promotes Dogs Trust’s Press Paws Campaign
It’s “love” for fans of sports and Spots as one of the world’s top-ranked tennis stars literally lends a hand to raise awareness of Dogs Trust’s #PressPaws campaign.
Six-time Grand Slam champ Novak Djokovic and his fiancee Jelena Ristic have taken to Twitter to post snapshots of themselves ‘pressing paws’ with Pierre, their toy poodle, as a reminder to potential pet parents to pause and ponder the long-term level commitment that a dog requires before making an impulsive decision to bring a barking buddy home this holiday season.
Djokovic and Ristic, who recently helped to shine a spotlight on adorable adoptables at Dogs Trust’s Canterbury Rehoming Centre, are the latest animal-loving luminaries to show their support for #PressPaws. “Bleeding Love” singer Leona Lewis, Castle stars Seamus and Juliana Dever, and The Voice UK season two finalist Matt Henry are just a few of the famous fans of Fidos who have promoted the campaign.
To take part in the #PressPaws campaign, post a photo on Twitter of yourself and your canine companion ‘pressing paws.’ Include the hashtag #presspaws and @DogsTrust. Your own photo and those of other dog devotees will be displayed on Dogs Trusts’ “press paws Tumblr.
