Dog-Friendly Alice, Texas

Share with fellow dog lovers!

Named for the daughter of the founder of King Ranch (a legendary 1.2-million-acre ranch built by a wildly successful Irish immigrant and former Texas Ranger named Richard King), this South Texas community was once the world’s largest cattle shipping point.

Today the city is also active in the petroleum business and is a favorite destination for hunters searching for javelina, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and dove.

Alice’s southern location allows for tall palm trees to grow alongside deciduous trees.
