365: Our Hiking Hounds
Today we spent all day at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area near Fredericksburg, Texas. The weather has been beautiful here this week so we thought it was the perfect time for a hike with Irie and Tiki. Enchanted Rock is named for the haunting sounds that the Native Americans reported hearing here long ago, noises actually made by the rock cooling at night. The park is very dog-friendly and makes a great destination, especially this time of year before the spring crowds and the summer heat. I’ll bring you more photos this weekend but, first, it’s time for a rest!
