72*365: Using Close-Up Mode
Yesterday we talked about Portrait mode on your camera; today we’re going to give Close-Up mode a try.
Check your camera’s dial; you’ll most likely see a small symbol of a tulip. That’s your Close-Up mode!
Using the close-up mode will allow you to move closer to your subject to focus. (Just how close will vary by the lens you use.) It will also give you a shallow depth of field in your photos, so the subject, such as Irie’s nose…
… is sharp but the hair, even inches away is in soft focus.
You can use this feature in all kinds of situations…even closeups of your dog’s paws…
