This year we had very few wildflowers, the result of last summer’s record drought. Actually we were lucky to have any wildflowers…but, nonetheless, it made wildflower photography a real challenge this spring.
In previous years, we’ve been lucky enough to get photos of the dogs in bluebonnets…
…and Indian blankets…
But this year’s crop was far, far smaller. We had a few verbena come up in front of the house. Not enough for a grand photo of a field of wildflowers but enough for a closeup!
