365: #SuperDogSunday Photo Shoot

Sometimes I feel like I get in a photo rut. I start using the same techniques, the same effects, time after time. They get stale.

So I’m always trying to find new ways to bring fun to my photos. My current favorite tool is PicMonkey, an online editing tool that’s super easy to use and is very addictive. Even if you have no experience with Photoshop, you’ll find it easy to add text, speech bubbles, special shading, or effects like the “focal zoom” blur in Tiki’s photo above. Most of the effects on PicMonkey are free to use (they recently introduced a subscription option with additional effects.)

Over the next few days, I’ll be bringing you ways you can improve your dog photos to add a football theme and enter them in the Super Dog Sunday™ photo contest.
