The winner of each category receives a $1,000 donation to the shelter or rescue of their choice. We were trying to decide if we should wait and on the chance that we should win select a recipient or if we should choose now. We decided to choose now to at least help publicize one shelter or rescue so tonight we’re making our decision. We’ve decided to make a random drawing from all the reader-nominated shelters and rescues from the recent Pedigree vote. We’ll be back tomorrow with the shelter or rescue we’re designating as the recipient if we win!
