Today has been catch-up day and the weather has been just perfect for it. After 80 degrees earlier this month, today is cold, rainy, and just plain dreary…perfect for catching up on all the work that has piled up this week! Irie and Tiki are catching up on their snoozing, and we’re working on a whole round of fun for the coming week:
#RedCarpetCat, Wednesday, 5:30-7pm PT
On Wednesday from 5:30-7pm Pacific time, we’ll be hosting the #RedCarpetCat Twitter party! Gracey of The Tiniest Tiger and Jackson Galaxy, star of Animal Planet’s “My Cat From Hell” will be live tweeting from a pre-Oscar event in Hollywood. We’ll be giving away prizes every 10 minutes (over $2,800 in prizes!!) so be sure to pop by the party on Twitter under the hashtag #RedCarpetCat. (First, though, be sure that you are on the RSVP list so you are entered to win prizes including The Tiniest Tiger’s new hipster bag!)
Update on Felix
Several readers emailed and asked how Felix, one of our four cats, was doing so I wanted to let everyone know that he is doing great! Felix had to have TEN teeth extracted just over a week ago but he has been a champ about taking his medicines. He has been eating even better than he did before so I think he is very relieved to have those bad teeth out!
Global Pet Expo
Several people also asked if we would be at Global Pet Expo in Orlando the end of this month; sadly, our budget just won’t allow it (see above). We were really hoping to go to Global this year to see all the new pet products but the budget just won’t budge…so we’ll be staying home. We’ll be in touch with pet PR companies, though, to learn about all the new products; if there are any special products you’re especially interested in learning about, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out about them!
Growing Our Social Media Accounts
We’ve been busily growing our social media accounts lately; we just hit 20,000 Twitter followers and we’ve had some steady growth on Facebook, too, including a *lot* of traffic this week:
