About Us
Life with dogs is made up of ordinary moments — daily walks, quiet mornings, busy afternoons, and the small routines that shape how our dogs feel in our homes and in the world. DogTipper exists to make those everyday moments easier, calmer, and more meaningful.
Do you love to celebrate life with your dog? Of course you do! Our love of including our dogs in every aspect of our lives–from restaurant dining to daily walks to weekend getaways–inspired us to launch DogTipper in 2008.
How DogTipper Helps
You’ll find:

A Little About Us
DogTipper was founded in 2008 by Paris Permenter and John Bigley, longtime dog lovers and writers who have spent years exploring what life with dogs actually looks like day to day. (More on our experience and credentials)
After decades writing guidebooks and lifestyle content, we saw a need for dog advice with a focus that’s always simple: ideas that work in real life.
We share our lives with rescue dogs and cats, and DogTipper has grown alongside them, shaped by daily walks, changing routines and the lessons that come from living with animals over time.
