63*365: Looking for Soft Light
Today was a bright, sunny day (although a little chilly), and Irie and Tiki were game for a long walk this morning. Since the trees have not yet put out their spring leaves, it’s not so easy to find a place out of direct sunlight…but we managed to find a shady spot down by the creek. Irie posed creekside for this upper shot, taken in complete shade.
Just downstream, we stopped to take some more photos; this time, however, Irie was in the direct sun.
Facing east into the morning sunshine, you can see the difference between the shade and the direct sunshine photos. While I like the way the sunshine outlines Irie’s features, it’s definitely a harsher look than the upper photo.
