Yesterday I baked some kibble cupcake treats for our recipe section. Every week, I try to time the baking of the treats for the dogs’ afternoon siesta (which they observe as a serious, serious nap time) so I can bake without any little helpers in the kitchen…
…but it was not nap time for our cat Linus. At first, I thought Linus was interested in the bowl of dog kibble on the counter but then I realized he was intrigued by the dog cookie jar in its new position…
Both dogs were asleep on the couch throughout the baking but, as soon as I veeery quietly stepped outside to photograph the finished product, they were awake and curious…and ready for some taste testing. The dogs sat quietly while I took my photos then, when released from their stay, Tiki made her move. This blue plate is, after all, one of the dogs’ plates so she figured surely this must be for her…
A moment later, Irie decided that the lone cupcake looked sad all by itself on the plate…
The treats were followed by yet another afternoon nap, this time in the yard. Modeling and treat testing is, after all, tough work!
