Product:
Throver

What It Is: dog throw made with Crypton Super Fabric

Manufacturer: Crypton Fabrics; made in USA

DogTipper Review: Have you heard of Crypton? (No, not Superman’s Krypton…although this fabric does have super powers!)

Crypton is a special fabric, manufactured in North Carolina, that is stain, moisture, mildew, bacteria and odor resistant. Made with a patented process, it is the only fabric in the world that has been designated a non-porous surface. You can even disinfect it using Crypton’s U.S. EPA-approved Crypton Disinfectant & Deodorizer.

For pet families like ours, this, of course, is huge. If you’ve got pets, you know that they come with wet pet messes, whether that means puppy (or senior) puddles, cat hairballs, muddy paws, or even worse.

While we run a pet-friendly house with few rugs and easy-to-clean wood floors, we still like our upholstery. Both the dogs love the couch and we love to snuggle up with them on the couch so we always keep a fabric cover on it which helps with hair…but doesn’t help in the event of a wet mess.

So we were excited to try the Throver, a 48″ x 54″ throw that, according to Crypton, “looks like a blanket and works like a tarp.” We decided to put it to the test.

The Throver is reversible with the Crypton Super Fabric patterned side backed by a solid complimentary color with a suede feel. The Throver is machine washable or it can be spot cleaned.

The Throver comes in a big selection of styles and colors.

The Throver can be used many places; besides your couch, you can throw it over your bed, toss it over a dog bed, or use it to protect your car’s back seat when you’re transporting your dog. It’s a great seat saver for trips to the beach or lake with your dog.

A big paws up for the innovative (and beautiful) Throver!
