Product: Soggy Doggy Super Shammy Review

What it is: Super absorbent microfiber drying towel

Manufacturer: Soggy Doggy Productions, LLC, Larchmont NY

DogTipper Review: From the makers of the Soggy Doggy Doormat comes another product designed to take the sog out of the dog. The Soggy Doggy Super Shammy is made from the same incredibly absorbent microfiber chenille as the Doormat.

The Super Shammy is not large (approximately 31″ x 14″) but is covered with 1″ long “fingers” which enables the towel to soak up seven times its weight in water.

We usually use old bath towels to dry off Tiki and Irie after a bath or when they’ve been playing in the creek or the muddy yard but the Super Shammy is a real upgrade. The company says that it can soak up five times more moisture than a regular cotton towel. The Super Shammy is not flat; instead, both ends are stitched together to form “pockets” which makes it much easier to dry the dog’s underbelly which is usually the hardest area to dry properly.

The Super Shammy can be machine washed and dried (low heat), and it also air dries quickly which discourages mildew and odors. It comes in two color choices: blue with red trim and beige with red trim. The fabric is very soft to the touch, and our dogs enjoyed their after bath “massage” with the Super Shammy.

For busy pet parents, the Soggy Doggy Super Shammy is clearly the right tool for the job. Its small size makes is convenient to carry to the dog park or the beach. A big (dry) paws up for the Super Shammy!

Price: The suggested retail price for the Soggy Doggy Super Shammy is $19.99.
