Review: Make Dogs Your Life, Lesson 12 & Final

Share with fellow dog lovers!

I am very excited to announce that I’ve completed Lesson 12, the final lesson in The FernDog Trainer Academy Make Dogs Your Life course for dog trainers!

Lesson 12 covers an important topic for any career: Secrets of Success. Both the video and the written materials in this lesson cover the importance of continuing to learn, learning from your mistakes (or “failing forward”), mentorship and being of service to others, and building relationships. Founder Fernando Camacho reminds students that “there’s nothing better than doing what you love.”

Along with completing Lesson 12, I also completed the final exam and made a final grade of 98!

The comprehensive final exam goes back over the material covered throughout the course, from puppy socialization to reactivity to working with fearful dogs.

Although my coursework is now completed, my relationship with The FernDog Trainer Academy does not end. Like all students of the course, I’ll have lifelong access to the lessons and videos as well as the monthly group calls with Fernando Camacho and past and current students. I’ll also be able to return to the materials and go back over my course materials as well as view and read new course materials as they’re added.

I’m so excited to have been able to take and review The FernDog Trainer Academy course. Taking an online class about dog training has been a longtime goal of mine so that I would have a course to recommend when prospective students ask us about programs, to help in my communications with DogTipper readers, and to assist in writing about training and behavior.

A big paws up for The FernDog Dog Trainer Academy!

It was a pleasure having you in the program. I'm so glad you got a lot out of the course and I'm looking forward to seeing how the material makes an impact on everything you do.
